How We Create Change

Legendary Legacies works alongside men navigating the effects of incarceration, recovery, and community violence. Our team brings lived experience to this work, building trust through shared understanding and consistent support.
Through Legacy Builders, participants engage in Life Coaching, identify personal goals, and work toward greater stability. Legacy Links supports men in recovery preparing to return home after incarceration and those rebuilding their lives in the community.
Legacy Transport combines paid transitional employment with weekly Life Coaching and workplace readiness support. Participants earn an income while developing the skills and confidence to pursue lasting employment.
Our Crisis Response Team helps address conflict and connects people affected by community violence with support. Across our programs, relationships create space for accountability and growth.

Our internal data shows meaningful progress. Among participants included in our risk-assessment report who had been enrolled for at least 12 months, 75% reduced their assessed risk of reoffending. These assessments examine factors that can contribute to future involvement with the justice system and help guide individualized support.
Participants have also completed Legacy Transport and moved into full-time employment. Others are working toward recovery goals, strengthening family relationships, or taking steps toward greater independence. Each person’s progress reflects their own commitment—and the value of having consistent support along the way.
